Description
The tombchests of Hugh Poulgram and Robert and Ann Rean are located 4 to 6 meters south of the northeast entrance of the churchyard in Lansallos. They date from 1780 and 1784. One tombchest commemorates Robert Rean of the parish of Lanteglos, who died in 1780, along with his wife Ann. The second tombchest is in memory of Hugh, the son of Charles and Ann Poulgram of the parish of Talland, who died in 1784. Both tombchests are made of stone rubble and have slate lids, and they are built into the slope of the churchyard. The inscriptions are in lower case lettering with serifs.
