Description

This listing describes a pair of tombchests located 15 metres south of the Parish Church in Clayhidon. One tombchest is dedicated to Robert Stone, who died in 1844, while the other is inscribed to a woman, although the inscription is illegible and may date from the late 17th century. Both tombchests are made of sandstone and feature panelled sides. The tombchest for Robert Stone has a hipped slab, while the other has a flat slab.
