Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located about 30 metres east of Bevill’s Hill Farmhouse. The cottage is built of whitewashed cob with a thatched roof. It is a two-cell design with a projecting gable-end stack on the left side, featuring a brick chimney. A lean-to addition is present at the left gable end, while the right gable end has a 20th-century window. The ground floor windows are renewed casements. An off-centre entrance is marked by a corrugated iron porch. The left-hand ground floor room contains widely-spaced sawn ceiling beams, with later supporting beams placed between them.
