Description

This building, located approximately 4 metres north of No 1 Beach Cottage and Quay Cottage, dates from the 1870s and was originally used as stores and stables for fishermen's donkeys. It is constructed from killas rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof, although some corrugated asbestos is present at the far left. The building has a long rectangular plan with two entrances at the right-hand end. It is likely divided into three rooms: two full-depth rooms on the left, each with a doorway at the front and a window at the rear, and two rooms at the right-hand end, one behind the other, with a window in the front wall for the front room and a window in the rear wall for the rear room. There is a loft in the roof space used for storage.

The exterior is single storey, featuring one window on the south-east front, with doorways to the left and middle, and a wide window on the right. The rear wall has three similar regularly spaced windows. The right-hand gable end has a pair of doorways with small shuttered windows above for ventilation. The building retains its original doors and windows, which include ledged doors and three-light casement windows with six panes per light. The interior has not been inspected.
