Description

This is a headstone from 1782, located 1 metre south of the nave of the Church of St Nicholas. It commemorates Thomas Parsons, who died in 1782, along with Mary Siner and Richard Parsons, both also from 1782. The headstone is made of slate and features a segmental arched head with curved shoulders. It is inscribed in both upper and lower case lettering, includes a verse, and is decorated with an angel's head. Although the slate has broken into two pieces, both parts remain in their original position.
