Description

This is a headstone dating from 1798, located 6 metres to the south-west of the west tower of the Church of St Nicholas. It commemorates Richard Burnard, who died in 1798, and Mary Coad, who died in 1791. The headstone is made of slate and features a round arched head with shaped shoulders. The inscriptions are in both upper and lower case serif lettering and are adorned with an angel in shallow relief.
