Description

PILLATON SX 46 SW 6/181 Gate piers about 80 metres north west of Pentillie Castle GV II Pair of gate piers, set at the entrance to a tree-lined avenue. Probably C18. Granite. Square plan piers, about 2 metres high, with cornice and large ball finial set on shaped stem. There is a stone at the base of the pier to right, with initials NLEL and the date 1628.
