Description

The piers of a former viaduct in Penryn were built around 1859 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel for the Great Western Railway. There are twelve rock-faced granite piers, which are tapered and have an H-plan shape with impost strings. The timber structure of the original viaduct was removed when a parallel 20th-century viaduct was constructed.
