Description
This is a terrace of three cottages located in Penryn, built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from local killas rubble with granite dressings, and have roofs covered in asbestos slate (on numbers 109 and 111) and dry slate (on number 113). They are arranged with a double-depth plan, and are two storeys high with a three-window front.
The windows are mostly C20 sixteen-pane horned sashes to number 109, and original 12 and 16-pane hornless sashes to number 111. At number 113, the windows are C20 four-pane horned sashes, with the ground floor window replacing a former shop front. The remains of the shop front are visible as an oak lintel and jamb made from reused ships' timbers. The window openings are generally topped with segmental brick arches, except for the doorways of numbers 111 and 113, which have round arches above them and include blind spoked fanlights. The doors are C20 panelled. The interiors were not inspected during the listing process.
