Description
The stable block at Bay Cottage is a mid-19th century structure built from rubble with some brick dressings and earlier reset granite features. It has a slate roof and is arranged as a rectangular block with a central through-way, consisting of a single storey. The central entrance features a 4-centred arch with a roll-moulded surround, flanked by wings. On the left side, there is a doorway and a window, while the right side has a doorway with flanking windows. The doors have segmental brick heads, and the windows are 8-pane wooden casements. Above the arch, there is a gable with a square opening that has a granite hollow moulded surround. The granite features are likely re-used elements from the 17th century.
