Description

No. 6 Cross Street is a town house, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The front of the building is faced with granite ashlar, while the rest of the exterior is constructed of rubble with granite dressings. It has a steeply pitched roof covered in asbestos slate, and brick end stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and a nearly symmetrical two-window façade. It features 20th-century windows with top lights. The central doorway, dating from the early 19th century, has an entablature with a moulded cornice broken over heavily moulded pilasters. The door itself is six-panelled, with a moulded lock rail, flush-beaded bottom panels and glazed top panels. The interior has not been inspected.
