Description
Chynoweth Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century. It has rendered stone walls and a half-hipped scantle slate roof with brick chimneys on the side walls. The building has a double depth plan, featuring two equal-sized rooms at the front with an entrance hall in between that leads to a stair hall connecting the rear rooms. There is a later 19th-century one-room-plan wing at right angles behind the right-hand room. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front facing south-southeast, with a central doorway. The door is from the 19th century, featuring flush-beaded panels below the lock rail and six panes above, along with a plain overlight. The original windows include 12-pane hornless sashes, with some original windows also present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain its original features and joinery.
