Description
The building south east of Carbis Mill is likely a granary situated over a cart shed and stable, dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from killas and granite rubble, with some areas of partly dressed granite and wooden lintels. The roof is made of scantle slate and features gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan, built into the bank on the right side. The ground floor includes a stable on the left with a window and doorway at the front, and a cartshed on the right with a large doorway facing the front. The first floor has a central front window and a doorway leading from the bank at the right-hand gable end. The structure is two storeys high. The interior has not been inspected. This building has a close visual relationship with Carbis Mill, and it was formerly functionally linked to it.
