Description
This is a barn located north-east of Ennys Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from killas and granite rubble, featuring granite and brick dressings, and has hipped scantle slate roofs. The barn has an L-shaped plan with a two-storey block that includes loft storage over shippons or stables. There is a lean-to on the right side and a single-storey gable-ended cart shed or horse engine house on the left side. Granite steps lead up to the right side of the barn.
The exterior is two storeys high, with the north-east front showcasing a deep integral projecting wing at right angles to the left side. There is a doorway and a window on the ground floor of each front. The wing has a loading hatch on the first floor, and there is a loading hatch and doorway at the top of the steps on the main front. Small windows are located at the ends of the main range, and there is a loading doorway at the rear middle. The barn features ledged doors and shutters. The interior has not been inspected.
