Description

A pair of attached houses located in Deer Park, Newquay, dating from the early to mid-19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The houses are constructed from stone rubble with stone dressings, and have a slate roof featuring ridge tiles and gable ends. A brick shaft rises from an axial stack.

The plan is of a pair of attached houses, with number 3 situated to the left and number 2 to the right. Each house has a two-room plan, with entrances on the outer sides. The internal layout consists of one room at the front and one at the rear, both heated by the axial stack.

The exterior is two stories high, with each house exhibiting a symmetrical two-window front. Each house features a 20th-century door on the outer side of the front elevation, and a 16-pane sash window in the centre, with a flat stone arch above. Two 16-pane sash windows are present on the first floor, also with flat stone arches. The right-hand side of number 2 has been rendered, while a passage with a loft above is situated on the left-hand side of number 3; a loft door faces the front. The interior has not been inspected.
