Description
No. 8 is a small house in a terrace, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of local rubble with granite dressings and has an asbestos slate roof with brick end stacks. The house likely has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a symmetrical three-window front. The original windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, and there is a central doorway with an original four-panel door and a plain overlight. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be as unaltered as the exterior. The property includes subsidiary features such as low rubble forecourt walls, a central gateway with round-headed granite monolithic piers, and a flight of dressed granite steps.
