Description

Moor View and the house adjoining on the left are a pair of cottages built around the early 19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble and are covered with rag slates. The roof is bitumen coated with hipped ends, and there is a central slate-hung stone rubble axial stack. The cottages have a one-room plan, heated by the central stack, with entrances located on the right and left. Attached to both sides are lean-to outshuts that originally contained pighouses. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a symmetrical two-window front. Each entrance is framed by a 19th-century porch with hipped slate roofs, and there is a 19th-century two-light casement window to the left of center and a later, likely 20th-century, two-light casement window to the right of center. Above the entrances, there are 19th-century two-light casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
