LANEAST SX 28 NW 2/147 Gazebo about 10 metres west of - Tregeare House

Gazebo; said to have been originally built as a dovecot, and later used as a game larder and apple loft. Early C19; repaired C20. Rendered stone rubble. Thatched roof with deep eaves supported on wooden posts. Plan: Octagonal gazebo, with entrance to front and rear; cottage orne style. Exterior: Single storey with loft, lit from one eyebrow dormer. The front has 2- centred arched doorway with early C19 studded plank door with strap hinges. To right and left a 2-light window with 2-centred arch and hood mould, Y tracery, stanchion and saddle bars and leaded lights. At the right side there is a blind window and at the left side a similar 2-light window. The rear has central similar door with 2- light window to right and left. All the windows and doorways have hood moulds. Interior: The ground floor is divided into two small rooms, each entered from an external door. At the rear there is ladder access to the loft.
