Description

The Lyne family vault, located to the south-east of the Church of St Martin, is a chest tomb dating from 1846, dedicated to the Lyne family of Wadham House. This fairly large tomb is made of dressed granite and has a square shape. It features a cross-pedimented capping, acroteria, and incised pilasters with a key pattern. The tomb sits on a sloping granite base, although the iron railings that once surrounded it have been removed.
