Description
The south gate and flanking walls located south of the Church of St Martin in Liskeard date from the mid-19th century, although some of the walls may be older. The structure features slatestone rubble walls with some granite dressings. It includes a wrought-iron gate and an overthrow with a lamp. The design is a grid style, with the gate hung at the outer end and flanked by walls. The gate is ramped up at the sides and is adorned with cast-iron spearhead finials over the bars and urn finials over the stiles.
