Description
Bridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1855, with some minor later additions and alterations. It is constructed of roughly coursed slate-stone with granite quoins, featuring slate-hung cladding on the front and a rendered left gable end, topped with a slate roof. The building has a basic L-plan layout, consisting of a main range and a gabled range at right angles to the rear on the left, with single-storey ranges attached. The farmhouse is two storeys high.
On the first floor, there are two sets of paired glazing bar sashes on the left and one pair on the right. The ground floor has a similar arrangement, but on the right, there is a mullioned and transomed wooden multi-paned casement. A roughly central rendered gabled porch features a ledged door. The prominent gable on the left has a recessed slate datestone inscribed with "18 55," while the less prominent gable on the right has external end stacks with tall shafts. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
