Description
Beara Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1856, as indicated by the datestone, for the Bedford Estate. The building features stone rubble that is whitewashed and rendered on the front. It has a hipped slate roof with deep eaves and two rendered stacks. The farmhouse has a rectangular double depth plan with a rear service wing and stands two storeys tall. The front is symmetrical with three bays and includes a central flat-roofed stone porch that has a platband cornice. The entrance consists of a six-panel front door with a rectangular fanlight above it. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. This farmhouse is an unusually well-preserved example from the Bedford Estate and is accompanied by a contemporary small planned farmyard.
