Description

The Royal Inn is an early 19th-century public house with a 20th-century addition, located in Sydenham Damerel near Horsebridge. It is constructed of whitewashed stone rubble with a slate roof, featuring gabled ends and gable end stone stacks with moulded caps. Originally planned with two rooms, the building presents a symmetrical 3-bay front with a central gabled stone porch. The arched 3-light windows have intersecting glazing bars, although the first floor windows have been reglazed. The interior has been modernized.
