Description

Barn Park Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. They date from the late 18th century and have undergone later additions and alterations. The exterior is finished in rendered slate-stone with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three casement windows directly below the eaves; the windows on the left and right are from the late 19th century, while the central window is from the 20th century. On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century three-light casements to the left and right of a ledged door on the left and a boarded door on the right of a central ledged door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch. There are external end stacks, with the right stack having a slate drip. At the rear, there is a full-length catslide outshut with an asbestos sheet roof. Inside, the right ground-floor room features exposed joists.
