Description
A farmhouse, dating to the late 18th century, with earlier fabric from the late 16th century, and later additions and alterations. The farmhouse is built of roughly coursed slate-stone with granite quoins. The left gable end and the rear first floor are slate-hung. It has a slate roof and a three-unit plan with end stacks.
The farmyard side features a first-floor window with three lights and mullions to the left, with the left light filled by a slate slab. Below, a rectangular window sits directly below the eaves, with two 19th-century casements to the right, the right one top-hung. The ground floor has two- and three-light flat-faced chamfered mullion windows to the left, with a chamfered Tudor-arched doorway with a gabled hood immediately to the right of centre. A prominent early 20th-century brick canted bay window is located to the right, featuring five glazing bar sashes. Integral end stacks are present, with the left stack having a red brick top. A chamfered Tudor-arched doorway is on the left gable end, which has a single-storey, hip-roofed outbuilding attached.
On the garden side, the first floor has a glazing bar sash to the left and a three-light 19th-century casement to the right of a narrow round-headed glazing bar sash illuminating the staircase. The ground floor has a six-panel door (the top panels now glazed) with a 19th-century three-light casement to the right and a similar 20th-century casement to the left.
