Description

Farmhouse. It likely dates to the 16th century, with remodelling in the 19th century and a 20th-century addition at the right-hand end. The structure is of stone rubble, colourwashed and rendered, with a slate roof that is half-hipped at the left end and gabled at the right end. It has two rear lateral stacks. The original layout was probably a three-room plan with a through passage, and the lower room was once used as a byre. A staircase was probably inserted into the passage in the 19th century. A late 20th-century addition at the right end resulted in a total of four rooms and the house was divided into two properties, each with two rooms. The front facade has an asymmetrical arrangement of four windows and a 20th-century gabled porch on the left. It features 2-, 3- and 4-light casement windows with glazing bars. Inside, the former hall has chamfered stopped joists and a large fireplace with a replaced lintel. The lower room contains two circa 17th-century 2-light timber mullioned windows in the left-hand wall, with a small ventilation slit between them. The roof has pegged trusses.
