Description

Nirvana is a house dating from around 1800, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The front is clad in slate over a painted rubble plinth, and the roof is slate with crested ridge tiles. The house has a single-depth plan, incorporating a stair hall to the left and a room to the right, together with a two-story rear service wing of one-room plan on the right.

The building is three stories high and has two windows, all with 4-pane sashes, the windows to the left being smaller. A glazed door, dating from the 20th century, is situated to the left of the facade, set within a flat-roofed wooden porch. There is a moulded eaves cornice.

Inside, a straight staircase from the 19th century has moulded stick balusters. The room located to the right on the ground floor and the room to the rear of the passage have two-panelled doors. On the first floor, in the rear wing, a chimney piece made of black slate is painted to resemble marble with red veins.
