Description

Eventide is a house dating to around 1800, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The construction is of coursed sandstone rubble, covered by an asbestos slate roof. The house has a double-depth plan, with a central entrance situated between two front rooms. It is arranged over three storeys, plus a cellar, and has two windows facing the street. All windows are 4-pane sashes, with segmental arches above the ground-floor windows, cambered arches above the first-floor windows, and flat arches above the second-floor windows. A basement window is located on the right-hand side, also with a segmental head. A central, flat-roofed wooden porch, likely a replacement of the original, was added in the 20th century. The interior is not accessible.
