Description

Terrace walling, dating from the early 19th century, is constructed of Killas and elvan rubble with granite hogs-back copings. The wall follows the natural contour of the land and extends to the north and east, encircling the kitchen gardens. It serves to separate the domestic gardens from the parkland and farmland below, functioning similarly to a ha-ha.
