Description
Buller Almshouses and Old Post Office, located on Barker's Hill in Burraton Coombe, date from around 1726. The building is constructed of pointed rubble and consists of two storeys with a slate roof. It features five windows, and all the almshouses have piered doorways. Above the doorways is a plaque with a coat of arms. The interior has been gutted, and the front of the building was likely rebuilt in the early to mid-19th century, as indicated by the narrow shellat and random blue stone rubble coursing.
