Description
The stable block adjoining the stable block (pottery) is from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of square serpentine stone brought to course with galletting, featuring dressed granite quoins, sills, and jambstones, along with segmental brick arches. The roof is hipped and covered with scantle slate, topped with clay ridge tiles. This single-storey range is rectangular in shape and was originally designed with a symmetrical four-window east front and a central doorway. The right-hand window has been converted into a doorway with an overlight. The windows are 20-pane hornless sashes arranged in an 8 over 12 configuration, and the doors are ledged, possibly braced.
