Description
The stable block, dating from the early to mid 19th century, is constructed of squared dressed Serpentine stone with galletted joints and features segmental brick arches. It has a steep hipped roof made of scantle slate, topped with clay ridge tiles. The building has a rectangular plan with a central entrance, although the internal layout is uncertain; it likely originally included spaces for horses but is now used as a pottery. The stable block is a single storey with a symmetrical front that has four windows and five bays, featuring a central doorway. The doorway has a 20th-century door with nine top panes, and there are 12-pane horned sash windows.
