Description

The screen wall at the west of Trelowarren House is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from serpentine rubble with serpentine dressings around the doorway and features embattled parapets. The wall has an L-shaped plan, with a longer section measuring approximately 100 metres oriented east-west, and a shorter section of about 10 metres oriented north-south. These walls are connected by a taller round turret that has a doorway at the outside angle, and the walls stand approximately 2.5 metres high.

Both the walls and the turret feature moulded copings on the merlons and embrasures. The doorway is nearly round-headed with a segmental plan and has an arched door made up of six flush beaded panels. Above the doorway, there is a circular stone with a flared cross in relief. Additionally, the wall to the left of the turret is artificially made to appear ruined at the end.
