Description
Anna's Workshop is a shop premises dating from the early 19th century, as shown on the 1843 tithe map. The building is constructed of painted brick and some rubble, topped with a dry Delabole slate hipped roof. It has a rectangular plan with two shops at the front. The exterior features two storeys and an overall four-window range, with late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows. The original pilastered and transomed shop fronts include a moulded entablature with a fascia. The shop front on the left has a doorway on its left, which is now fitted with a window, and a two-light shop window. The larger double shop front on the right has six lights and return lights to a splayed central doorway with a glazed door. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of an important and little altered group in this former fishing and china clay port.
