Description
No. 30 Meneage Street is a small town house with a later shop, dating from the 18th century and refronted in the early 19th century. The front is finished in stucco with a moulded cornice, and it has a steep dry slate roof featuring a central hipped dormer with 20th-century casements. The roof is adorned with mid-19th century crested clay ridge tiles and has shared brick end stacks. The building has a deep plan that includes a rear wing at right angles. It is two storeys high plus an attic and has a one-window range.
On the first floor, there is a mid-19th century small-paned oriel window with a moulded cornice and sidelights above a shop front of similar age, which has six panes at the front and sidelights. A moulded entablature with a fascia extends over the shop doorway on the left, which features a 20th-century glazed door. The house doorway is located at the far left and has a top-glazed 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected.
