Description

This barn, located approximately 70 meters northeast of Church Town in Lezant, is likely from the early 18th century and has undergone minor later alterations. It is constructed of cob on a low slate-stone plinth and features a hipped corrugated-iron roof. There are doorways with wooden lintels on both the left and right sides, and a triangular air vent is present on the right end wall. Inside, the barn has a collar truss roof spanning five bays, with laid-on horizontal thatching spars, and a cross beam that indicates the presence of a former loft.
