Description

The building is a cartshed and piggery, now used as stables, located approximately 40 metres south of Tregembo Farmhouse. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of painted rubble, featuring roughly-hewn granite monoliths that support the open front of the cartshed section. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate and has gable ends, with a lower sweep at the rear. The layout includes a double depth plan with a two-pen piggery on the left and a three-bay cartshed on the right, along with a range of pig's pens under an integral outshut at the lower ground at the rear. The building is single storey, with doorways featuring ledged doors at the front of the piggeries and an open front for the cartshed. The interiors are simple, retaining original roof structures. This building is part of a group of farm buildings arranged around a rectangular farmyard that is associated with Tregembo Farmhouse.
