Description
The Fitze tomb, located approximately 10 metres east of the Church of St Martin in Liskeard, is a chest tomb dating from 1809. It commemorates Joseph Fitze, who died at the age of 41, and his wife, Susanna, who passed away in 1846 at the age of 79. The tomb features coursed slatestone sides, a chamfered cornice, and two slate lids, with an incised inscription that is visible only on the top lid. The tomb has a rectangular plan.
