TINTAGEL TINTAGEL SX 08 NE 4/192 Group of 5 tombchests including those of Joan Pearce, Marshall and P Fuge 10-18 metres to south of south transept of Church of St Materiana GV II Group of 5 tombchests. 1732-1865. 2 tombchests of Joan Pearce (1862) and Joseph Rounsevell (1863) and of Thomas Bishop (1865). Slate stone rubble chests with rectangular moulded slate lids. Grouped in pair with moulded granite curb to surround. Tombchest of Marshall who died in 1777. Stone rubble chest with rectangular slate lid. Inscription in cursive script. Tombchest. 1732. Stone rubble chest with rectangular slate lid. Inscribed in italic script with marginal inscription and verse in central panel. Tombchest of Pascho Fuge who probably died in 1817 and Elizabeth, his wife, who died in 1831. Stone rubble chest with rectangular slate lid.
