Description

ST BREOCK SW 97 SE 3/59 Outbuilding 10 metres to north west of Tredruston Farmhouse

GV II

Probably wash-house now used as store. Circa 1840s, probably contemporary with farmhouse (qv). Stone rubble. Rag slate roof with gable ends and brick end stack on left. Plan: Rectangular 2 room and through passage plan, the left hand room, probably the wash-house, heated by an end stack. Partition on right hand side of passage. Small pigs house attached on right hand gable end. Exterior: Single storey. Almost symmetrical 2 window front with central plank door; 2 light casement to left and shuttered 2-light window to right. Small pigs house attached on right hand gable end. Interior: Brick segmental arch to open fireplace on left flanked by the remains of 2 boilers.
