Description
Lesparrow is a house, probably late 18th century in origin but much rebuilt around 1850. It has painted render with some freestone dressings and an asbestos slate hipped roof with brick chimneys on the side walls. The house is double depth with a central stair plan and is two storeys high. The nearly symmetrical front has three windows, a central doorway with a panelled door and a thin rectangular overlight. The ground floor windows and the three first floor windows are all tripartite sashes with 12 panes and 4 pane sidelights. The ground floor windows and doorway feature flat arches with dressed stone voussoirs and keyblocks. There is an original arched stair window at the rear. The interior retains many original features, including a dog leg stair, two panel doors, and ceiling cornices.
