Description

Holy well located approximately 200 meters east of Golden Manor House. It has medieval origins and may have served a Romano-British camp, as indicated by the large earth ramparts that still exist across the road to the east. The current structure is made of shale rubble stone, featuring a shale lintel that spans the entrance to a small rectangular opening in the bank.
