Description

The Pascoe headstone, located approximately 8 metres east of the Church of Saint Sithney, is an early 19th-century memorial dedicated to Henry Pascoe. It features a dressed granite monolith slab with a canted head and a canted recessed incised slate monolith slab insert. The inscription on the west-facing side reads: "IN MEMORY of Henry, Son of HENRY and GRACE Pascoe, OF St KEVERNE, who died 4th decr 1823 Aged 27 years," followed by the epitaph: "Mans Life is but a span On Earth how short the stay Prepare to meet your God In that Eternal Day."
