Description
This is a headstone dating from 1761, located 3 metres to the southeast of the porch of the Church of St Martin and St Giles in Werrington. It commemorates John, the son of John and Sarah Cory, who passed away in 1761. The headstone is made of slate and features a round arched head with curved shoulders. It is decorated with an angel's head and has incised lettering in both upper and lower case with serifs, along with a verse.
