Description

Trecollas Chapel is a Bible Christian chapel built in 1875. It is rendered, likely made of stone rubble, and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. The chapel has a rectangular plan with the entrance located on the liturgical south front, which faces the road. The exterior presents a small chapel with a symmetrical liturgical south elevation. There is a central entrance with diagonal plank double doors set in a pointed arched opening, and a datestone above. This is flanked by two depressed 2-centred arched openings that have key blocks and margin glazing bars in the windows. The west window also features a 2-centred arch with intersecting glazing bars. To the right, there is a small hall adjoining the main structure. Inside, the chapel has a simple interior with raked seating consisting of 19th-century box pews. At the east end, there is a rostrum with turned timber communion rails, and a shallow niche located behind the rostrum.
