Description

This is a wall with railings and a gateway located about 10 metres south west of Nanswhyden Farmhouse. It dates from the early to mid 19th century and serves as the front garden boundary for the farmhouse. The wall is made of brick and features stone coping, extending for approximately 20 metres. The cast iron railings are designed with hooped stanchions topped with knob finials. In front of the farmhouse's doorway, there is a single gateway flanked by plain rounded granite piers. The gateway includes a cast iron gate with a scrolled panel in the centre and spear finials, with a terminal granite pier on the right.
