Description
29 Coinagehall Street is a town house with a later shop, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of elvan, which is classified as greenstone, with granite dressings. Notable features include flat arches over the first-floor openings, a blocking course, and parapet coping, all topped by a steep dry slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a deep rear wing at right angles to the left. It stands two storeys tall and originally likely had a symmetrical three-window front. The ground floor features a 20th-century paired two-pane horned sash window and an articulated 20th-century shop front with a panelled fascia and dentilled cornice. The interior of the ground floor has been altered in the 20th century, and the rest of the building was not inspected.
