It is built of granite rubble with granite dressings on the ground floor, while the upper part is rendered. The roof is covered with asbestos slate. The cottage features original 12-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows, a 20th-century top-glazed door on the right, and an opening for a passageway on the left that has an old planked door.
