Description
No. 23 Coinagehall Street is a town house with a later shop, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite lintels above the first-floor openings and features a steep dry Delabole slate roof. The building has a brick end stack on the left and a large brick stack on the right towards the rear. A cast-iron ogee gutter runs over a moulded fascia board. The structure has a deep plan that includes a rear wing and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The first floor has late 19th-century eight-pane horned sash windows in wide openings, above a wide late 20th-century double shop front, which includes a small display window at the far left. The interior was not inspected. This building is included for its group value.
