Description

This building is a house located directly to the northeast of Hesselwood Cottage, dating from around the mid-18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends and end stacks that have brick shafts. The house has a two-room layout, with the entrance positioned to the left of the center. It likely contains a larger hall kitchen on the right and a smaller parlour on the left, both heated by end stacks. There are probably service rooms that were added to the rear in a single-storey outshut during the 19th century. The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has two windows. The entrance, located to the left of center, is sheltered by a 20th-century open porch with a slate roof. There are two-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors. The interior has not been inspected.
